Search Not working on SPS portal site.
Analyzing the problem it was found that the crawls were still running and the documents in the index were continuously increasing. But there were no search results.
Surprizingly the other portal which is hosted on the same server has the search fucntionality perfectly running fine.
Following were tried to resolve it , but no luck!!!!!1
1. Resetting the Indexes
2. Starting the Manual Crawl.
3. Creating new Content Indexes and Content Sources.
4. Restarting the share point PS Search Services and IIS.
5. Providing the sufficient privileges for running crawls
6. Checking for the SP4 version of MS SQL, this is already there.
7. Checking for the default values to run the Search and Indexing in Central Admin Site which is also Ok.
8. Rebuilding the Full Text catalogue from the database end.
help needed!!!
